Jean Carlos is the Contemporary Drafted Line Drawing Artist. Born in San Francisco, California, he studied Architectural Interiors at City College of San Francisco and Landscape Architecture at the University Of California, Davis before pursuing his place in the art world. His distinct drawing style was forged in San Francisco and defined within the hallways of the Legion Of Honor Museum in the mid 2000’s where he came up with “Jaggedmetrism” (a jagged yet geometric abstraction applied in various levels of clarity representing experiences during our minds’ focuses).
Jean Carlos is best known for creating gritty luxury drawings with the meticulous care reminiscent of artisan watch movement design, but in the realm of meditative channeled drawing. His figurative representations are influenced by the darkness atmosphere of true metal and tango music, but also, in contrast, the light metaphysics of the boundless spirit, as well as the material order of nature, the mystery of old world art and the changing dynamics of history. Each drawing is made with professional grade archival materials to produce exclusive collection legacy pieces for passionate people.
